Focus on the Connections

Karawee Karawee is direct therapy for children and parents.

This program builds attachment and trust between children and their parents through art interaction, special parenting discussion forums, forums for the staff at the preschool centre.

As part of the program, Baralga – a weekend inservice project for families – is conducted on seven weekends through the year: two each in Inverell, Gunnedah and Peak Hill and one in Tamworth encompassing five local preschools.

The Baralga program tackles trauma, loss and attachment issues through seminars on Attachment, Loss and Trauma, and includes special staff counselling sessions and parent and child art therapy.
